BULLETIN ON DEATH PENALTIES FOR

TRAITORS AND GERMAN INFORMERS

December 1943, Warsaw

An official bulletin of the Directorate of Underground Resistance about the placement of death penalties on traitors and German informers acting against the Jews.

The Directorate of Underground Resistance declared that the Special Civilian District Courts of Warsaw and Krakow have sentenced the following culprits to death and have deprived them of public rights* and honorary civic rights for their collaboration with the German police:

Tadeusz Stefan Karcz, from Warsaw (denounced Jews, who were Polish citizens, to the Germans)

Franciszek Sokołowski, from Podkowa Leśna (informer and saboteur)

Antoni Pajor, from Dobranowice near Wieliczka (tracked down independence fighters and denounced Poles hiding Jews); […]

All of the sentences were delivered by shooting.

*voting, running for any public office, holding military ranks or honors
